Claire Boudreau

Authenticity and spontaneity in the streets of Paris

South Korean-Canadian violinist Claire Boudreau is an incredible talent whose presence off-stage is just as compelling as her performances on it.

I had the opportunity to photograph her recently while in Paris. We focused on creating a series of portraits that felt authentic to her visual identity: intimate, grounded, and striking. Claire is very spontaneous, and it didn’t make any sense to try and plan locations and poses long in advance.

Instead, we just agreed on coffee as the starting point, then we walked around the city for 3 hours, stopping in the places that looked incredibly Parisians while also not being the main touristic attractions.

Authentic Paris meets authentic Claire kinda vibe.

Weather wise, it all started with rain, but ended up with sunshine, it made the shoot even more interesting somehow!
